Parker Miller
Community Outreach Advocate
Parker's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice through Appalachian State University. Parker has a background in law enforcement, as well as children's advocacy. She has been trained in Forensic Interviewing, and trained to educate the public on mandated reporting, as well as how to be trauma informed.
Parker has been with The Dragonfly House since 2024, but was an intern here in 2022. She is our Community Outreach Advocate. Parker goes into the community and educates people of all ages about what The Dragonfly House is and the services we offer. She also speaks with schools on how to be trauma informed with their teaching. Parker has been trained to be a W5 trainer. W5 is a training for adults to learn the Who, What, When, Where, and Why of being a mandated reporter.
Parker's “WHY” is that before being an intern at The Dragonfly House, she had never known about children's advocacy centers. She finds passion in educating others about our services, and our mission. Parker is passionate about educating, while also being a voice for the children and teenagers we see.
When not at work, you can find Parker spending time with her family, or on a girls trip! She enjoys watching reality TV and if she is lucky, she is on the beach with a good book!
