Daughn Eagan graduated from Clemson University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Management and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from WSSU in 2013. She holds a certificate in Child Advocacy Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and has undergone extensive training in all types of child abuse and neglect, as well as Interpersonal Violence and Human Trafficking.
Daughn began her journey with The Dragonfly House Children’s Advocacy Center as a volunteer nurse in 2014. She took a brief hiatus to work in Med-Surg at Lexington Medical Center in 2016 but returned to The Dragonfly House in 2017 to work part-time while continuing as a PRN nurse at Lexington Medical Center. In her role, she assists Dr. Suttle with medical exams, handles medical billing, and organizes supplies such as prizes, t-shirts, and blankets.
Daughn is dedicated to the mission of The Dragonfly House CAC, which follows the National model to provide the best outcomes for children in Davie and Davidson Counties involved in investigations of child abuse and neglect. Her goal with patients is to make them smile and laugh, even though they are there to discuss some of the worst times of their lives.
Outside of work, Daughn volunteers at her church in Winston-Salem, enjoys playing tennis, and loves spending time with her three granddaughters.
