The Circle of Hope Caregiver Support Group Meets Every Tuesday for 8 Weeks

Tuesday, January 23rd through Tuesday, March 13th from 6:00pm – 7:30pm

at The Dragonfly House Children’s Advocacy Center, 387 Valley Road, Mocksville, NC


The Circle of Hope Support Group provides Non-Offending Caregivers a supportive and educational environment to share their feelings and acquire tools to cope effectively with the aftermath of the sexual abuse of their child.  In addition, it provides the assistance & education caregivers need to be the positive support system child victims of abuse require in the healing process.

8 Week Curriculum covering topics such as:

  • Overview of abuse
  • Coping & Communication skills
  • How abuse affects children & teens
  • How abuse affects parents & siblings
  • Parenting challenges
  • Dealing with the outside world

Circle of Hope ​is free of charge, however, space is limited to 8 people.   Pre-Registration is required.

Babysitting is provided if requested. Each family is welcome to bring a meal and eat during the group meeting time. On the final night of class a full dinner will be provided for the participants.

The Circle of Hope model for psychoeducational support groups is consistent with key principles of advocacy: empowerment-based advocacy, trauma-informed services, working within an anti-oppression framework, and promoting survivor-centered services. The group model is strengths-based and focused on resilience.
