Offering Hope and Healing to Child Victims of Abuse
Check out our new blog series "A Voice for the Voiceless":
The Dragonfly House provides specialized services to boys and girls, ages birth through 17, who have either disclosed abuse or are suspected of experiencing abuse. This abuse can be Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Neglect, and/or Witness to Violence. The Specialized Services include Forensic Interviews, Child Abuse Medical Examinations, Victim Advocacy, Court Advocacy, Mental Health Treatment, Support Groups, Coordinated Case Review Services, and Community Outreach & Education.
In Japanese culture the Dragonfly is a symbol of hope, strength, and change - things that The Dragonfly House offers to each child of abuse. Here at The Dragonfly House Children's Advocacy Center, our mission is to reduce the devastating long-term effects that all forms of child abuse has on children, their families and society through immediate, coordinated, child focused services, education, and advocacy.
